Together We Care, We Respect and We Deliver
Join us and help us provide this vision to a population of more than 440,000 people. Our Trust is one the of area’s biggest employers, running hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole as well as community services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse on a Medical and Rehabilitation ward in Goole. We are looking for a motivated and innovative nurse to help us develop our team and provide high quality care to our patients.
Do you have high standards? Do you like a challenge and enjoy working with a committed team to ensure patients receive the best care? Do you have a thirst for helping to develop and shape services in a small hospital? If the answer is yes then ward 3 at Goole is the ideal place for you!
We currently operate a 15 bedded unit for patients needing a period of rehabilitation following acute illness and we also have a small elective medical unit catering for DVT patients and day case patients requiring planned drug infusions. Amongst our general Rehabilitaion beds are 4 Accredited Stroke Rehabilitation beds, enabling us to work to the national Stroke agenda and provide the very best evidence based care. Staff are able to care for patients in all areas and so gain a breadth of experience in managing short stay and long stay patients. We have fantastic links with the wider MDT and have a dedicated physiotherapist and occupational therapist working with us as part of the team; so education and support is never far away.
The workforce currently incorporates a team of very experienced nurses and health care assistants so we are able to provide a huge amount of support and subsequent development opportunities to the right applicant. The new ward sister is keen to explore nurse led initiatives and develop our services to meet the needs of the trust and our local community so we are looking for an applicant to join us on our journey.
