An opportunity has arisen with Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Speciality Doctor in Trauma & Orthopaedics.  The Trust has 3 hospitals including Goole, Scunthorpe and the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby.  This post is mainly based at Goole Elective Orthopaedic Centre with some work on the Scunthorpe site for trauma and complex elective work.

Northern Lincolnshire and East Riding of Yorkshire are both attractive places to live and work, with superb value housing, excellent schools and road and rail links, plus an airport and ferry terminal. The area has to be visited to appreciate the benefits of living and working here.

The Trauma & Orthopaedic Service has an excellent, dedicated suite of Outpatient facilities and day case and inpatient wards.  The department provides both upper limb and lower limb services covering primary arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty, specialist shoulder, hand and foot and ankle services as well as hip and knee arthroplasty work.  There are excellent links with Radiology Services as well as Rheumatology.  There is onsite access to CT and MRI scanners.

Both Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby are fully accredited Trauma Units and work as part of the Major Trauma Network with the Level 1 centre being Hull Royal Infirmary.  The Trust would be keen to support the research interests of the successful candidate as well as their continued professional development activities.
