Join us and help us provide this vision to a population of more than 440,000 people.  Our Trust is one the of area’s biggest employers, running hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole as well as community services. 

We require a Trust Grade (CT1/CT2 level) doctor in the department of Anaesthetics/Critical Care for 12 Months fixed-term. There is potential for this term to be extended.

This post does not have any on calls.

You will be encouraged to attend appropriate courses and have a study leave budget and allowance to attend these, and although these posts are not formally recognised for training you will be supported with opportunities to attend departmental teaching for professional development and to participate actively in audit.

The clinical experience available is wide and varied; with exposure to Anaesthesia, Critical care and Respiratory Critical Care.

Previous post holders have gained competence in arterial lines, central venous cannulation and chest ultrasound in addition to gaining experience in managing critically ill patients working closely with Consultants in Anaesthesia, Critical Care/Intensivists and Respiratory Medicine.

All specialties work a full shift rota and you will be well supported by senior colleagues during your tenure with us.

We have excellent library and Post Graduate Education Facilities

Funding and paid time is available for study leave

There will be a named supervising Consultant and career counselling is available 

Interviews via a system similar to Skype may be available for overseas applicants

This DGH is a friendly place to work and Anaesthetics department is a supportive, forward-thinking department The Trust is surrounded by the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and is within reach of major cities such as Hull, Sheffield, Lincoln and Doncaster. We have excellent road, rail, ferry and air links (there are 2 international airports on our doorstep).

You must have full registration with the General Medical Council, hold a Licence to Practice and be eligible to work in the UK.
