An opportunity has arisen for 2 highly motivated and flexible individuals to join a team of technicians within the Assisted Living Centre in Grimsby.
You may bring some mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge and skills and be supported to develop competence to maintain and service and repair wheelchairs and beds and hoists to a high standard. You will be supported by the senior technician.
This role has been designed with apprenticeship possibilities. In collaboration with North Lindsay College we are prepared to support the right people to progress from a B2 to a B3 level following successful completion of training and qualifications.
The role involves working in peoples own homes and in the workshop. You will need a clean UK driving licence and be able to drive a transit style van.
The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and an ability to move and handle equipment in both public and private homes and the main workshop.
This role involves face to face contact with the public and working closely with therapists.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
