Together We Care, We Respect and We Deliver
Join us and help us provide this vision to a population of more than 440,000 people. Our Trust is one the of area’s biggest employers, running hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole as well as community services.
It’s an exciting time here at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. Acute medicine is a fast paced environment with a high turnover of patients in our wards- most admitted as acute emergencies, meaning that the nursing interventions you deliver will truly make the difference to our patients and their loved ones.
The Acute Admissions Unit (AMU) is a 32 bedded unit, with the Ambulatory Unit working within the footprint of this unit. On average we can get up to 28 patients admitted within a 24 period. Due to this being fast paced area learning to time management is a priority. All trained staff on the AMU will rotate onto the Ambulatory unit. The dedicated AMU team is made up of a group of multi professionals including nurses, doctors, health care support workers and administration staff.
On the Acute Medical unit we strive to provide high quality patient care to assess a patient’s medical condition, organise appropriate tests and further management to determine their need for inpatient admission. The unit will do this by providing active management of medical conditions using the best available clinical evidence.
Our nursing staff and physician’s value and work closely together to provide outstanding, cutting edge care for our patients, creating an environment in which one can grow and reach high potential: working within such an environment and becoming part of this amazing team will nurture your potential and reward you with professional growth and career development.
If you thrive on a busy environment we want to hear from you.
