Children’s Services in Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital are currently undergoing exciting change and development and we are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking Specialty Doctor to join our team and complement the existing clinical expertise. This is an excellent opportunity to influence the future of paediatric and neonatal care and deliver excellent quality outcomes to children in the locality.
We have benefited from capital investment and offer modern, clean and expert environments for both staff and patients. Children’s Services are based in a new modern building with bespoke ward facilities and a new dedicated Children’s Out-Patient department.
You’ll assume a general paediatric and neonatal role within the Paediatrics specialty with responsibility for the day-to-day care and management of a diverse and challenging mix of paediatric/neonatal patients based within a friendly, well staffed and extensively resourced unit. You will also work as part of the acute rota and work on the wards and outpatient department, including specialist clinics.
Organised and systematic, we are looking for individuals with a minimum of 4 years (FTE or equivalent) postgraduate training in the UK (or equivalent training) of which at least one year of training must be in Paediatrics. Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practice is required at the time of application.
The post is full time at 10 PAs and up to 2 additional PAs may be available for further clinical activity although part time applications are welcome. The posts are part of a full shift rota and are paid on the Specialty Doctor payscale. Previous equivalent service in Paediatrics may be recognised for salary purposes.
The posts are well supported with a junior full shift rota.
