We have an exciting and rewarding role for a Dietitian with a range of generalist adult experience who is interested in developing more specialist skills in the area of acute and out-patient clinical work.

We are seeking a Dietitian with some experience who is looking to advance their career and who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care. This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed and enthusiastic team of Dietitians, who work across North and North-East Lincolnshire, supported by Dietetic Assistants and Administrative staff. You will be based at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, with opportunity to work across site with the wider dietietc team at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

We are able to offer training and support for those with little prior complex enteral feeding and parenteral feeding experience and you will be provided with regular clinical supervision. We will provide a robust and flexible training package, including access to internal training and external courses if required and to work around the needs of the individual applicant.

You will work as an integral member of the acute team, with specific interest and responsibility for the Gastroenterology ward and out-patient caseload. This will include providing specialist clinics for a caseload potentially including IBS, Crohn's and IBD. FODMAP training is desirable but is not essential, as training opportunities can be provided. You will have the opportunity to develop this service with your cross-site colleague/s and shape this service for the future.

There will also be ongoing opportunity for maintaining and developing competencies in a range of acute settings. Please note applicants who do not fully meet the person specification may be considered for a development post and receive support and training to progress into the band 6 role. You will provide clinical leadership to junior dietetic colleagues and also be highly involved in service development. The Nutrition and Dietetic Department supports regular supervision and continuing professional development, and provides training to A, B and C placement students. Applicants must hold up-to-date HCPC registration.
