Together We Care, We Respect and We Deliver
Join us and help us provide this vision to a population of more than 440,000 people. Our Trust is one the of area’s biggest employers, running hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole as well as community services.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who can join our HR team at Scunthorpe on an interim basis until 30 September 2018 to assist in delivering an efficient and effective operational HR service. We require the successful appointee to be able to build rapport with Trust managers and support them in ensuring employee relations casework across the Trust is managed quickly, effectively and efficiently. You will be required to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures when advising on employee absence, grievance, capability/performance, bullying and harassment allegations and disciplinary cases. Please note – that there will be a heavy emphasis on absence management during the period you are working with us.
A knowledge of employment law and good HR practice and principles would be desirable. A working knowledge of the day to day operations and management teams of the Trust is expected. You will also be required to demonstrate evidence of the application of HR policies and have an understanding of Agenda for Change terms and conditions. Influencing and negotiation skills are essential and play an active role in ensuring managers are fostering good employee relations.
This is a development post. Band and salary on appointment will be dependent on qualifications and experience and the ability to undertake the full remit of the band 5 role, as detailed in the attached job description and person specification. It is anticipated that a permanent opportunity may become available, which may lead to progression within the role.
Base – Scunthorpe General Hospital (may be required to travel to Grimsby and Goole)
