These posts at Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole are for Consultants in ICU & Anaesthesia with a Specialist Interest in Critical Care. The successful candidates will be expected to take an active role in education, teaching and clinical audit.

Scunthorpe General Hospital, Goole District Hospital and Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital deliver a full range of emergency/secondary health care services including intensive and high dependency care. There are 8 fully equipped Theatres offering a quality service to a wide range of specialties including Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedic/Trauma, Colorectal, Maxillo-Facial, ENT, Ophthalmology, Surgical specialties, Dental and Obstetrics. 

The Anaesthetic team also lead an efficient Acute and Chronic Pain Service.

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to be appointed as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School (HYMS).  This honorary appointment is in recognition of contribution to teaching and research and holders of honorary titles may request access to HYMS and University premises and facilities, systems, and library services.

Northern Lincolnshire offers superb value housing, excellent schools, road and rail links, plus an airport and ferry terminal. The area has to be visited to appreciate the benefits of living and working here.
