Our Medical wards across our 3 hospital sites span a wide range of specialities – caring for patients in over 470 beds, medical nursing offers something for everyone. Whether your passion is cardiology, oncology , respiratory, or our acute assessment areas ,we are confident you will thrive in our supportive and forward thinking teams. Naturally, acute medicine is a fast paced environment with a high turnover of patients in our wards- most admitted as acute emergencies, meaning that the nursing interventions you deliver will truly make the difference to our patients and their loved ones.
Ward 23 is a 30 bedded acute medical ward which specialises in gastroenterology. You will be involved in the care and recovery of the patient with gastrointestinal problems, including upper/ lower GI bleeds, chrones ,colitis and other acute medical problems. On ward 23 we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive training package to which you will be allocated a mentor to help supervise your learning and development plan whilst you settle into your new role as well as access to our clinical skills tutors. We welcome experienced nurses looking for a new challenge or to extend their knowledge within the comfort of a dedicated, passionate team. We also offer flexible working patterns to suit personal circumstances where possible and access to our e learning on line systems to help further your career. So if you are dedicated, have excellent communication skills are integral and demonstrate compassion and empathy we are looking for you to join our established team of Registered General Nurses.
