Together We Care, We Respect and We Deliver

Join us and help us provide this vision to a population of more than 440,000 people.  Our Trust is one the of area’s biggest employers, running hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole as well as community services.

Our Trust is at a turning point. With a new Chief Executive and a number of other senior leadership changes, the Board is driving a wave of change through our three hospitals, aimed at engaging our staff and changing those aspects of our organisational culture and operational practices which have led us into ‘double special measures’. Central to supporting this activity is the role Associate Director of Quality Governance.

Reporting to the Deputy Medical Director, this new post will support the Medical Director and Deputy Medical Director in developing the Trust’s quality governance and assurance strategy and arrangements, incorporating issues of compliance, quality & safety and clinical effectiveness and through appropriate training and awareness, for ensuring that quality governance is seen as the responsibility of all staff.

The Associate Director of Quality Governance will take a lead role for supporting the Clinical Divisions to ensure their governance and quality governance arrangements are robust and responsive to internal and external objectives and requirements and reflect the organisation’s commitment to quality & safety.

In fulfilling this role and in ensuring the achievement of the Trust’s overall quality and quality governance objectives, the Associate Director of Quality Governance will work in support of the Medical Director, Deputy Medical Director and Chief Nurse.  The Associate Director of Quality Governance will also work closely with the Trust Secretary, who is the Trust’s lead for corporate governance and the Deputy Director of Improvement, who supports delivery of the Trust’s Improvement Programme – ‘Improving Together’.

The Associate Director of Quality Governance will specifically oversee the work of the central functions of quality & audit and risk & governance.

The post requires close and effective working with the Medical Director, Deputy Medical Director, Chief Nurse, Trust Secretary, other members of the Executive Team and the Trust Board, Non-Clinical Directorates and Clinical Divisions including clinical staff and with relevant external stakeholders.

Above all, you will be a top flight professional with extensive knowledge of what good quality governance looks like and will passionate about providing the best possible outcomes for our patients.
