The post holder will support the Service Managers across all sites in ensuring the successful delivery of activity and performance targets for the Medicine Group, including the monitoring and escalation of national and local targets.

Supervising a team that is responsible for ensuring the patients progress through the pathway occurs in a smooth and timely manner, the post holders will be aware of specific arrangements in place regarding service provision and maintain an overview of patient pathways.

The post holder will provide a pivotal role in the continuing development of the administration teams and pro-actively suggest and implement changes to working practices to improve the service to patients.

Applicants should have good general NHS administrative knowledge, supervisory experience, good all round IT skills and knowledge of patient led information systems. Excellent communication skills, an ability to engage and influence others, a high level of initiative and proven organisational skills are essential.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
