Band: Apprentice wage in the 1st year and National Minimum Wage (age dependant) after 12 months
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust are offering an Apprenticeship Programme within the Pharmacy Department and are seeking to appoint an apprentice within the Pharmacy Department. The apprentice will be will employed for a fixed term training period of 13 months. Over the 13 months, the apprentice will participate in a comprehensive training programme to deliver knowledge skills and competence to undertake NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC level 2 in Pharmaceutical Science.
The training programme will introduce the apprentice to most areas within the Pharmacy Department resulting in the apprentice being able to carry out the principle duties of a Pharmacy Support Worker.
Candidates must have GCSE’s in both Maths and English at level C or above or equivalent. It will be necessary for the successful apprentices to have a willingness to learn combined with a desire and the commitment to complete this Apprenticeship.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly in supporting the Trust’s directive of 7 day working, participating in rotas and / or shift working as necessary including weekend and bank holiday working.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
