A vacancy has arisen for the post of Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician at Scunthorpe General Hospital. Please note this is a bursary post.
This is a full time two year work experience training placement, which will provide the skills and knowledge to qualify and register as a Pharmacy Technician. The successful candidate will perform a range of activities working in various sections of the department including working in various areas within the Pharmacy Department i.e. Pharmacy Stores, Dispensary and training with the ward based teams.
The applicants MUST have 5 x GCSE’s at level C or above to include Maths, English Language, 2 x Sciences (individual or Dual science is acceptable) plus 1 x Other
You should be committed, flexible and able to work in a busy and demanding working environment whilst undertaking and completing your qualification at the same time.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly in supporting the Trust’s directive of 7 day working, participating in rotas and / or shift working as necessary including weekend and bank holiday working.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
