Are you looking for the right opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and to deliver transformational change in pharmacy services in a large Acute hospital Trust. In this role you will have an opportunity to lead infrastructure changes and demonstrate good management in the operational delivery of pharmacy services as we expand our clinical service within the Trust.
We are looking for an experienced pharmacist to join our pharmacy leadership team to help drive through innovative solutions in hospital pharmacy service with a focus on increasing the clinical role of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This includes the delivery and implementation of electronic prescribing and medicines administration systems and continuing the delivery of the Hospital Pharmacy Transformation Plan.
As the Assistant Chief Pharmacist you will provide leadership, to the pharmacy teams across the Trust. Your key responsibilities will include: shaping the vision, strategy and delivery plan for the Business and Technical Pharmacy Services within the Trust. You will also contribute to the development of an STP wide strategy for pharmacy technical services.
With proven hospital experience, you will hold a postgraduate certificate (or equivalent) in clinical pharmacy and be a GPhC registered Pharmacist.
Excellent communication, negotiation, prioritisation and delegation skills are essential.
You will be encouraged to apply for the CPPE Chief Pharmacist programme and you will have opportunities to further develop your leadership skills in driving forward innovate new ways of delivering pharmacy services.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
