Together We Care, We Respect and We Deliver

Join us and help us provide this vision to a population of more than 440,000 people.  Our Trust is one the of area’s biggest employers, running hospitals in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole as well as community services.

The Senior Health Care Assistant is a member of a multidisciplinary Ward/Departmental team who undertakes duties in relation to patient care and ward/department administration, in the Acute Hospital setting.

Delegated work and duties will be assigned and carried out under the direct and indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the competencies laid down for NVQ Level 2. Where additional skills training is identified as required in the job description the postholder will not undertake those duties until training has been undertaken (except as part of the supervised learning experience).

Following the successful completion of the interview process, candidates will then be entered into our Senior Healthcare Assistant pool. Candidates in the pool will then be invited to have an informal chat with ward managers as vacancies across the Trust become available.
