We require Trust Grade doctors (CT Level) to work across various medical specialties asap for up to 2 years.

The postholder’s primary responsibility is the day to day care of the patients in their allocated ward. The postholder will receive instruction in procedures and help with management from senior colleagues. He/she will be expected to know their patients in detail and to present them in clinical areas.

It is essential to appropriately document history taking, examination, investigations requested with results and a plan of action to discharge after treatment or admit. (document time of action for every step.)

As a trust we are encouraging doctors to sign up for an e-portfolio and although this post is not recognised for training we will support doctors with achieving their competences and also assign an educational/clinical supervisor, the same as training doctors at the same grade. Trust Grade doctors are expected to apply for study leave and will be supported with opportunities to attend appropriate courses, departmental teaching and to participate actively in audit.

Opportunity to participate in PACES teaching regularly, MRCP is encouraged and supported. This in turn helps further Specialist training application process and sign up of CMT competencies.
